Both the Lambright & the Fortman families have always been involved in agriculture. Now they are excited to fulfill that crucial step that occurs between farm and table.
Keith Lambright, owner/operator of Shipshewana Auction, Inc. since 1981, has had a lifelong passion for the livestock industry. Working alongside him are his son, Brian, and daughters, Stacy and Jenny. Keith lives in Shipshewana, IN with his wife and often visible working in various parts of the business are the rest of his family, including their 10 grandchildren. Keith is active in his church, serves on the local school board and enjoys spending time with his family. With his love of the agricultural industry, he has always wanted to own a butcher shop to see the entire process through from raising and caring to the animals, to the final product of providing quality meat to local and regional families… a true farm-to-table mindset.

Tom & Laura Fortman reside in Avilla with their 4 children where their beef company began. Tom is the 6th generation farmer raising cattle, hogs, wheat, corn, beans, and hay. They realized that if they wanted to be able to guarantee that the absolute highest quality of beef ends up on every single one of their customers' plates, they needed to be involved in the processing stage. When the opportunity arose to step into the processing plant that they had already been using for their beef, it felt like it was meant to be.

Tom & Laura know how important the processor is to farmers, since they are farmers first and foremost. They do not take it for granted when farmers & consumers alike place their trust in them and they will always make sure that everyone is 100% satisfied with the job that they have performed.
Together the Lambright & Fortman families are happy to provide such an important service to farmers & consumers alike here in the Laotto area.
